We had the chance to sit down with Flynn, the talented filmmaker who recently won the Best Student Short Film award at the Kingston International Film Festival (KIFF). Flynn, a Goldsmiths graduate, shot his award-winning film, Midpoint, in his spare time alongside friends and a Blackmagic camera!
We asked Flynn how he plans to use his £5000 in-house camera equipment prize, and he shared his excitement about elevating his production to industry standard with Verve’s kit. He’s considering renting either an ALEXA Mini or a Sony FX9. Flynn has already begun writing and planning his next project, and he is eager to put the prize to use as soon as possible.
‘I’m extremely grateful to both KIFF and Verve for providing this incredible opportunity. I can’t wait to see how I can utilise the equipment at Verve to further my skills as a director’ Flynn shared.
Flynn’s passion for filmmaking started at just 10 years old, and he’s eager to see where his short films take him. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for him!
